CHAPTER 1

The night at St. Domingo's School for Girls was like every other night. It was 8:30 and already the girls were confined to their rooms. The dorm supervisor, Miss Wyck, had been complaining of a headache earlier and gone to lie down in her tiny room just adjacent to the girl's dorm.
