About this audiobook

Laughter and sparks set the stage for a fun romance from New York Times bestselling author Ruth Cardello about a farmer who switches places with his business-savvy twin brother and falls in love with the daughter of his brother’s biggest client.

I just found out I have an identical twin. I’d love the idea if he wasn’t an arrogant, overconfident businessman who is determined to save my farm even though I’m in no danger of losing it. When I agreed to switch lives with him, it was supposed to be for a couple of hours.

I was told to lie low, meet no one, and let him deal with the oil company that was sniffing around my property. I agreed to the switch only because it was the first time since we’d met that my twin had shown interest in my life, and I hoped it would give us a better understanding of each other.

Hours drag into days. I consider our initial agreement void and head to his office. I’m sitting at his desk, mostly minding my own business, when a beautiful woman blusters in, ready for a confrontation with my brother about an email. She’s the daughter of my brother’s largest client.

I only flirt with her to make her smile. What could it hurt to pretend to be my brother just a little longer?

I didn’t expect to uncover a plan to sabotage my brother’s company. I don’t want to believe that the woman I can’t get out of my thoughts and would love to get into my bed has anything to do with what I’ve discovered.

Save the company.

Save the girl.

I have no idea how I’ll do either, but when something is done out of love, it has to work out.

I very rarely leave bad reviews but this book feels very much like it was taken from another culture and names and places changed to fit the story. It’s all just very awkward, I could not finish.

Scott and his twin brother, Jesse, of whom he has only learned about, trade places so that Jesse can help save Scott's farm. Scott has been told not to go out but he goes to Jesse's office where he substitutes for Jesse. Monica, lead researcher for her father's company, comes to see Jesse in anger because he told her to recheck her figures for a project they are both working on. She does not know Scott is pretending to be Jesse. He is smitten. He eventually finds the e-mail she was talking about and the files that Jesse has on the project and starts to see where or if an error was made. Can he find it? What will happen when Monica finds out Scott is not Jesse?I enjoyed this story. There is humor there. There is also growth in the characters, especially Monica. I liked how Scott is able to calm her down most times. She's smitten with him also but is trying hard not to fall since he is under contract with her father's company. The truth comes out and they all have to deal with the fallout. Monica's dad really has to deal with the fallout. I love how they all have to deal with him to make sure he listens. I liked her Aunt Bibi as well as Scott's adoptive parents. There were a lot of good characters in this book.I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
