I’VE HAD SOME pretty interesting jobs in my time. I was a roadie for three years or SO (which is partly why I wear hearing aids). I was a telemarketer (a barely legal phone scam where I lasted three hours); and occasionally I count flowers for money (in a very whispery voice). A more recent job is to referee singing fights on The Masked Singer.
If you've never watched the show, it’s pretty simple: high-profile people perform in costumes that would be right at home in a GWAR video, and we have to guess who they are. That’s it.
I love watching my colleagues try to figure it out, and in so doing I’ve been pondering the not-always-subtle difference between what we to be true and what is actually true.
