About this audiobook
READ BY THE AUTHOR
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Do you ever feel left out, lonely, or less than? Learn the secret of belonging, which will help you keep rejections in perspective and be better equipped to foster healthy connections in your relationships.
New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection's ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God. With biblical depth, gut-honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa will help you:
- Stop feeling left out by believing that even when you are overlooked by others you are handpicked by God.
- Change your tendency to either fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process your hurt.
- Know exactly what to pray for the next ten days to steady your soul and restore your confidence in the midst of rejection.
- Overcome the two core fears that feed your insecurities by understanding the secret of belonging.
Uninvited reminds us we are destined for a love that can never be diminished, tarnished, shaken, or taken—a love that does not reject, but instead accepts and invites.

Great content, but it's read much too quickly. TerKeurst writes with humor and depth. This reader maximizes the comic effect with her speed and perk but doesn't use her pace to linger in the thoughtful places. Distracted from the content.1 person found this helpful

Too much religious stuff! If you want to write a book about God, can you please say it is a religious book on the cover? I don’t mind reading self help books that have a little spirituality in them but this is just too much!1 person found this helpful

Truly loved this book and the amazing insight and nuggets I learned out of it!! The only thing I have to comment on is the fact that the author highlights/bolds some parts of the book in the pages and I found it distracting when reading. Highly recommend otherwise ! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

The author of this book has faced rejection and loss of friendship in her life. She uses her experience to point the reader to Christ. To the relationship that ultimately matters and encourages everyone to live loved by God. I really loved this book and hit close to home in so many ways. I think that whether people are willing to admit it or not, everyone has faced loneliness and rejection in some form throughout their life. This sometimes, not always, can impact you in far-reaching ways. I love how the author continually points back to Jesus. I look forward to adding this book to my library. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

I just resonate with Lysa so much! I went through the Bible Study with just the Uninvited Study Guide last year and really got a lot out of it, though I didn't think I would. So this year I decided to buy the book, and it went even deeper into her struggles and personal stories, which was refreshing to hear a leader opening up about their struggles, weaknesses, and failures.
I would highly recommend!! - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5

While occasionally a bit to folksy in style, this Christian reflection on dealing with rejection in all of its many variations had some really profound thoughts to add to my experience that made this book a worthwhile read for me.
