READ BY THE AUTHOR
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
You deserve to stop suffering because of what other people have done to you.
Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of unresolved pain, playing offenses over and over in your mind? You know you can't go on like this, but you don't know what to do next. Lysa TerKeurst has wrestled through this journey. But in surprising ways, she’s discovered how to let go of bound-up resentment and overcome the resistance to forgiving people who aren’t willing to make things right.
With deep empathy, therapeutic insight, and rich Bible teaching coming out of more than 1,000 hours of theological study, Lysa will help you:
- Learn how to move on when the other person refuses to change and never says they're sorry.
- Walk through a step-by-step process to free yourself from the hurt of your past and feel less offended today.
- Discover what the Bible really says about forgiveness and the peace that comes from living it out right now.
- Identify what's stealing trust and vulnerability from your relationships so you can believe there is still good ahead.
- Disempower the triggers hijacking your emotions by embracing the two necessary parts of forgiveness.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Wasn’t impressed with this book I’m more of an intellectual and this book was too simple. I want to here more steps on what to do instead of just stories of what happened to someone. So far best marriage book I have read and listened to is his needs her needs.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A very good book. Definitely appreciated the biblical backings to the overall message of the book and the author's transparency.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautifully written!! This has blessed me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to be ok with my current situation. I am believing God for healing and restoration but I'm ok with letting go. I'm not crazy! I choose to be heathy over unhealthy. I choose truth over lies and boundaries are best for me. I was trying to win him back but I trust God to do work in us both. Thanks for sharing your experience.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I could relate a lot of her perspectives. Helps me re evaluate the things I’m holding on to and the value of moving on. Listening to it for a third time
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This a good book to read if you’re looking for understanding how to forgive. It’s one step in the right direction. There is also a Bible study guide for this book, if you’re looking for a more in depth look into forgiveness. I didn’t read the Bible study guide but I might.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Actual information in the book is excellent and spot on, I don’t think I can listen to author’s voice any longer. Way too emotional...will try to finish by finding this in an e-book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Her life experiences help the reader in many ways! ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely love this book because this is exactly what my marriage is like. I was unfaithful to my Amazing Wife and Praise the Lord Almighty were still together!<3 After the Lord has opened my eyes realizing I was just living in Sin, I’ve given my Life to Jesus Christ and now I’m trying to go through trama of Stage 3 Skull Based Ewings Sarcoma as well as the how my Primary Care Doctor at the Phoenix Va kept neglecting my care when my Cancer started forming and luckily Praise the Lord I got sent to see a Neurologist at the Va and sent me to a Civilian Hospital’s ER (Saint Joseph Barrow Hospital) and ended up having 2 Emergency Brain Surgeries to find out if I woulda waited another week, I wouldn’t be here. So now I try everyday to live out in Faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord after 28-30 Reconstruction Surgeries I’m now 5 years Cancer free and almost 9 years Married to my Amazingly Beautiful Bride!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Lysa is a great writer. A humble approach on a challenging topic.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Cookie cutter cliche advice that will get you nowhere and doesn't help you learn how to move forward. So in other words it's a complete waste of your damn time.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a great follow up to It’s Not Suppose to be this way. Also by Lysa Terkeurst.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Un excelente libro que abarca el tema del perdón de manera real y práctica
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The book itself seems like a good one but the audio is so messed up I’m lost and confused. There are only 14 chapters in the book but the audio has 20. Some chapters are repeated randomly throughout the recording, making it confusing. I tried to push through but ended up so confused I feel like I just need to start the whole book over another time.
