About this audiobook

Sebastian Prescott once had it all. A promising career as an Olympic-bound snowboarder, money, and a bright future. But a devastating knee injury sent him on a decade-long downward spiral, capped off by losing his prestigious job. And Sebastian places the blame for getting fired entirely on the shoulders of Kayla Bristowe, the woman who worked directly under him—and the subject of his fantasies.

Three years later, Kayla is shocked to come face to face with Sebastian, who's now working as a snowboarding instructor at the resort hosting her corporate retreat. His anger over what happened is palpable. So is the chemistry still sizzling between them. Chemistry that Kayla tries desperately to ignore because she's on the hunt for Mr. Perfect. And while Sebastian is a lot of things--sexy, arrogant, and a walking train wreck come to mind--her ex-boss is most definitely not Mr. Perfect.

But mother nature has other plans, and Kayla and Sebastian end up snowed in together with only one bed. Alone with Kayla, Sebastian's fantasies come roaring back to life, despite the lingering animosity between them. And he's not her boss anymore. At least, not out of bed...

The book is good. I like the authors books. However, the reading was cringy. The accents were fake. The female characters responses during the intimate scenes made me fast forward through some parts. I wanted to give the book a five but the reading pulled down my rating.

I'm 1 chapter in an the "female" sounding voices are irritating my eardrums. The storyline is okay for Sebastian's character as intelligent as he is supposed to be it gave off middle schooler no accountability ... His voice no. Why does he make them so whiny and annoying. I hope ne is t reading the next one. The narrating is eh okay as long as he is only reading in his regular voice or as the men. I may not make it all the way though this one. I listened more and nope the men's voices like Brody are not great either. I only made it to chapter 6 I couldn't do anymore with this one.

The narrator’s female voices were annoying listen to, and if I wasn’t in the middle of the series, I would have not finished listening to the audiobook. His male voices fit the characters.

1st of all. Terrible narrator. Got 30 secs in n said ABSOLUTELY NOT….then stupidly came back to finish it lol. Why did he have Lucien sounding like the godfather?? LOL he sounded normal in the other book ?

Besides that, everything happened so fast ?‍?. Book was just ok. On to the next!

An okay story but the narrator is good when he is doing the man side of the story but when he does the women… they all are whinny girls that sound like teenage girls. He needs to rethink his interpretation of the opposite sex.

I couldn’t get through the first chapter. Narrator’s voice for female characters was so whiny and nasal - almost as bad as nails on a chalkboard.

Terrible narrator. His voice was like nails on a chalkboard, especially when he voiced the female characters. Very whiny and dragged the end of each word on for too long. I dont know what women he's spoken to who sounds like that normally but I have never. Story was okay. I felt like the little dilemma in the apartment came WAY out of left field since it's not discussed anywhere in the book previously. Just felt like s throwaway.

This one would be hard. I've been thought some of the other books in the series and I enjoyed them very much. I wanted to enjoy this one as well, but I'm 10min in and 1. I wonder would I be able to survive the narrator's 'female voices' 2. I'm really worried about the narrator's view of women and I hope has some positive experiences with normal sounding women.
I'll try to listen, but I really hope that this book would be recorded again with some more appropriate narration.

Ok, the story is great, but this narrator is bad. He's like trying way too hard to give all the Prescott guys these horrible, creepy NY East Coast accents. Ewe. He made Theo sound like some creepy back alley thug. Like Joe Pescy as Harry in Home Alone. Also, he makes Lucian try to sound like Marlon Brando in the Godfather. It's just so bad. I know they are from NY, but some of the voices are just hard to listen to. Aside from some character voices, it's an enjoyable story.

    2.5 Stars for me!

This was going to be a 4 Star story for me but the last hour was so much repetitive self-loathing, woe with me that I nearly broke my phone and headphones trying to skip forward every time it started.

Nails on a chalkboard is less painful then listening to a person continuously beating themselves up. I know that it is a huge market but I just don't understand why.

If you like stories where the H metaphorically beats himself to a bloody pulp, you may give this 5 stars!

I did like the rest of the story. ?

Although I loved the deepness of the man’s voice for the man’s part, it kind of made me cringe when he was speaking the women’s part. Definitely would suggest getting a woman to do the woman’s part next time.

The reason for only 4 stars is the narrator dragging Bode's speach making him sound constantly high then giving Lucian a New York Italian accent very obviously different crom that of his brothers. Other than that the story was sweet.
