About this audiobook

Can widow Katarina protect both her battered heart and her beloved B&B from the property developer passing through her small town?

Katarina blames herself for her husband’s death. Her only solace is running the beachfront bed and breakfast they always dreamed of, but now a big city developer plans to buy the property and bulldoze her B&B.

Sterling Knightley has made Katarina’s landlord an offer she can’t refuse. The only way Katarina can keep her promise to her late husband is to persuade the aloof businessman to partner with her, but Sterling holds all the cards.

Katarina doesn’t expect to be charmed by the man beneath Sterling’s prickly exterior, or for him to reignite a spark she thought was dead. But no matter how tempting she finds him, she can’t risk losing her B&B… or her heart.

When it started, I immediately wanted to give up. Took me a few chapters to get used to the narrator, but once I got into the accent, I enjoyed it.

Its a bit more tame than my taste, but it was a beautiful story and beautifully written and read.

If I had to describe it, Id say its a “Hallmark” book. Wholesome and you know whats going to happen but you enjoy going on the journey with the characters. I even shed a few tears

Very tame, more for the teenage reader. Not at all inspiring.

Annoyed with the one reviewer who called the the person who read the the book “pretentious”. Um hi, ever think the author was from New Zealand, so that’s why some with a New Zealand accent was reading it? Sorry for the rant! Great book!! Will be continuing on with the series. :)

Loved the story, struggled with the pretecious narrator, but pushed through and enjoyed it in the end
