Great book!
It was beautifully written and the plot was amazing and great like the first one EXCEPT FL she was annoying AF! Completely immature, I mean if jumping to conclusions every single time was a person well it was her, honestly I hated her parts it took me a while to finish the book because of her character, but ML was just awesome he may be mob and do bad stuff but he loved her so much and did everything he could to protect her and she just uh so annoying she couldn't handle any truth but demanded the truth then would turn around and freak out and was so judgemental about everthing, other than that honestly great writing great narration!!

Took me a bit to get into it because of the voice actor being the same as first book, but I loved it. Same pace, different story, darker than the first one, because MMC is in the mob. Stalkers, sex work, kinks... The whole shabang... I was a bit afraid the author will cut on the quality to publish faster.

I liked it. Different story line. Lots of smut. Not too many “triggers” and bad things. Not to say there might not be some for some people, but over all I liked it. The narration was good. Liked both the narrators. Except one of the characters the woman voiced was super annoying lol. And the they/them character.

Boy oh boy does Navessa know what she’s doing!…. To start this book flowed right alongside Lights Out beautifully. But, it still held its own limelight. The character building is chefs kiss?? The angst and tension played a game of tug of war in the filthiest ways. AND THE SPICE…. Will have you living so vicariously that reality seems bleak?.
Thank you for yet another read that makes picking my next feel like cheating.

I had such high hopes for this book after its predecessor. Spicy scenes were fun though it was mainly oral. Not much chemistry between lovers. He loved her but she was just horny for him, not in love with his character. The egoistic MFC acted like such a princess in a pink bubble. Lying in a bed and hurting like a victim of a horrible crime. Though in reality she got herself hurt in neck because of her stupidity and found out the guy she almost fucked did bad stuff. After everything going on in the world her trying to be hurting victim is ridiculous. Why wasn’t she “suffering” if the only thing happened is her knowing a guy she hasn’t even slept with did a bad thing. And her main tragedy is not being able to forgive a guy who didn’t help her to live through something not nice done but some other girl in school ages ago. Why wasn’t she mad at the reason of someone spreading the bad information? Noooooo, let’s curse forever a guy who just wasn’t there for her. They were children! Everyone has done worse shit in school. There wasn’t a valid reason to condemn someone for something they didn’t even do. She called herself a horny idiot and I agree with her at least at that. She said he crushed her heart but it was faaaaaar from what can crush the heart. Stuuuuupid. We got eyeroll each time FMC talked. Like a overhormonal teenager. It was difficult to finish the book with her overthinking and her trying to be victim over nothing

Narration was in duet 5/5 ? but sadly story did not deliver, very little plot, lots of smut and “weird” chemistry between MCs
