Honestly there is nothing wrong with this audiobook or story. I enjoyed it, but did find myself fast forwarding towards the end because I'd had enough of the sex. I wanted to see how the story was going to play out. Don't get me wrong- I like smut, but for me I need more story, action, and character development to give 4 and 5 stars. Just my personal opinion.

I also had a very hard time taking Lex seriously on his threats of hurting Selena, and that is likely because of the narrator. Almost all audiobooks I've listened to that are narrated by Teddy Hamilton have been rom-com and I personally have a hard time accepting him as a truly lethal killer that would hurt the woman he is obsessed with.

The spice wasn't up there for me either because I just didn't feel any chemistry.

Some plot in between smut.

The premise is interesting and I was genuinely curious how this story will arrive at its HEA. The narration was perfect, I liked that all the dialogs very spoken in their respective characters' voices. The ratio between plot and smut was in favour of the latter and after some time it was just too much.

I did a search for dark romance, and this book populated. I was weary to listen, but was not at all disappointed! The story was gripping, and the anti-hero was phenomenal, definitely going to dive into more of her work after this book.

LITERALLY ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Is pretty much the only way to describe this book!! And in audiobook format omgggg!!! Like seriously if your thing is dark romance or anything surrounding that then here’s a little bit of advice… be prepared for your panties to be flooded literally right til the end!! ☺️????
