Editor's Note
Riveting danger…
After a rude, nude awakening in the woods (with no idea how he got there), Nate discovers his brother has been murdered — and he’s the prime suspect. The resulting search for the killer is full of twists, turns, and riveting danger. Cross delivers another classic and satisfying crime thriller in “Betrayed.”
Jake Cross
Jake Cross was a seventies child who started writing at a young age. He started with fantasy because there was no research needed for an invented world. Early short stories covered probably every genre except dieselpunk-romcom. Although he now writes thrillers, Jake’s reading love is true crime. Other interests are MMA, snooker and driving. There are no dieselpunk-romcom novels planned.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5As several other reviewers experience the narration is abysmal. Either automated non-human or bad editing. I like the story but listening to a drone narration puts me off, I lose my place and all sentences sound the same.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is another great read by Harlan Coban. You can’t go wrong with his books
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5When I started the book I didn’t think it was going to be as great as it turned out.it had all the elements I really like, danger, fast paced excitement, mystery a little romance (don’t like a lot of graphic information) I will definitely be looking forward to reading another from this author

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book skipped so much it was hard to follow, totally skipped over the last 2 chapters in a 5 chapter book.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The other books have been decent and this one might be ok, but I’ll never know as the narrator made it brutally unreadable.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I have loved the other books by this same author, but this one seemed disjointed. The narrator spoke as if he was rushing through with an odd inflection in his voice and bad timing for the one-liner jokes sprinkled in.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Book more likely has promise for a reader. As an audio book, the narrator was more interested in getting to the end of the book. With pauses, voice inflection, and slower pace the book has potential.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Absolute shite. Poorly written and abysmal narration. Had to play it at 0.8 speed as it was machine gun fast. No light or shade in the delivery. Tried hard to persevere but after an hour I was ready to put my ears out. Didn’t even deserve the one star I had to give it.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was very adventurous with lots of twist and turns, never ending action. I was slightly disappointed with the very end.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I chose not to listen . With 3 bad reviews in a row I decided not to waist my time on this book. Lots of other excellent books to choose off of Scribd.
