Cross unites a quiet, cozy setting with a thrilling action plot in “Hide.”
Jake Cross
Jake Cross was a seventies child who started writing at a young age. He started with fantasy because there was no research needed for an invented world. There are no dieselpunk-romcom novels planned.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5What is the story about? I had a difficult time following the reasoning of the story. Random killing of people in a village you are told not to kill to find someone, just one person. Not sure my time is worth finishing an unbelievable account of the Hidden. Oh but it starts off with killing should be good nonstop action. haha.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great storyline. Very difficult to follow. Felt like too many characters. Perhaps the language difference added to the difficulty.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Oddly dull despite all the killing. And quite quite unbelievable
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Enough action and stuff going on, but I couldn't really get a connection with the characters so it all fell a bit flat for me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Needed a little help with some translations but really good story.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was my Jake Cross book but won't be my last. The story was fast-paced and believable without depending on conspiracies to kill government officials or destroy the world. The narration was great as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent! First time i listen to a book from Jake Cross beautifully narrated by Mathew Watterson. This book was action packed, full of suspense from beginning to end. Finally a mature man single handed doing his best to save his son and his town. Really enjoyed it! Will be looking for more books from Mr. Jake Cross.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fast paced. Also a nice short read with interesting characters and great plot.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good plot line but hard to follow at times. Jumps around for situation to situation so often it can be confusing.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I expected more from the high review rating. I was drawn in immediately at the beginning but it got confusing as to who was who and I did not feel much for the characters so it was not worth re-listening. Maybe this would be better as a regular book?
