Description
The defendant booked the plaintiff’s U2 cover band for an event. However, the plaintiff claims the defendant tried canceling the gig two weeks before the performance date, so the plaintiff is suing for the balance due on his contract. The defendant says someone told him the plaintiff was racist and sent him screenshots of “despicable” things the plaintiff wrote on Twitter, so the defendant believes he rightfully terminated the contract.
Then, the plaintiff brought her phone into the defendant’s shop for repairs, but when she picked it up, it was still broken. The plaintiff claims she brought it back a second time, and when she tried to pick it up, the defendant told her it was gone, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists he fixed the plaintiff’s phone the second time around, called her to pick it up, but the plaintiff never showed up. The defendant says he waited over 60 days, and his policy is clear: Merchandise left over 60 days is considered abandoned.
Plus, the plaintiff brought his vehicle to the defendant’s shop on four different occasions for four different repairs. Unfortunately, his vehicle was still having issues, so he brought it to his local car dealer. The plaintiff claims the dealer said there had been no repairs, so the plaintiff is suing the defendant for all the money he paid him. The defendant insists the Nissan dealer lied, and he did the proper work he was hired to do.
