Description
Rick Sanchez welcomes Dr. Darcy Sterling, a licensed clinical social worker to discuss different techniques that we can use to make sure that we stick to our New Year’s Resolutions. Resolutions fail sometimes because they are based on other people’s wants instead of our own. Resolutions must come from within us, and they must be goals that we have set for ourselves in order to improve. They cannot be too vague, they must be realistic, and we must have an accurate perspective of ourselves and be clear about what is feasible. People have only so much discipline and we must work within the parameters of our own willpower. Sanchez confirms that personal goals are only as good as the reasons for wanting them and that if we do not set deadlines, then the goals simply become dreams and wishes.
