Description

EPISODE 74 - Off the top of this episode, Clark and Hyung talk about the record-breaking sale of the iconic T206 Honus Wagner (SGC 2) for $7.25 million, and why this card – that is considered the "Mona Lisa of baseball cards" – is valued so highly.
Then in this week's Hobby Headlines segment, they discuss why prospecting in the hobby can be so lucrative (ie. the recent sale of the Julio Rodriguez Bowman Chrome Red Refractor for $276K) and what they generally look for in prospects and rookies that could lead to a potential five- or six-figure flip.
Clark and Hyung then then play another edition of "Match Game" which is their version of Buy/Sell/Hold. Given three players in each set, they both choose which one of the three they would buy, sell, hold (with no repeats). The sets in this edition of Match Game are: Ronald Acuna Jr./Fernando Tatis Jr./Juan Soto (**this episode was aired before the Tatis PED news); Kevin Durant/Giannis Antetokounmpo/Luka Doncic; Jalen Hurts/Russell Wilson/Lamar Jackson.
They end the episode with "Pick One" where they name two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Yordan Alvarez 2018 Bowman 1st Chrome Autograph (BGS 9.5) vs. Jasson Dominguez 2020 Bowman 1st Chrome Autograph (BGS 9.5); and Julio Rodriguez 2019 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs Red Refractor #CPA-JRO Rookie Card (#3/5) (BGS 9.5/10) vs. Derek Jeter 1993 Upper Deck SP Foil Premier Prospects #279 Rookie Card (PSA 10).
