Description

EPISODE 119 - Clark and John welcome back Hyung to the show after a two-week hiatus and off the top, they get Hyung's thoughts on some of the recent news and announcements that came out of the Topps Industry Conference including the upcoming release of the "frozenfractor" card, Topps removing several product lines, and Tom Brady baseball autograph cards. Hyung also guesses what the so-called biggest product announcement could be that Fanatics promises to deliver.
Then they get into Hobby Headlines where they discuss Tik Tok's ban on breakers livestreaming on its platform and whether other social media platforms could follow suit. They also talk about whether more regulation is needed in the breaking space as well as offer advice on how to improve the whole breaking experience so hobbyists old and new can both enjoy it responsibly.
The guys then play Buy/Sell/Hold on sports cards featuring players that have been in the news recently (including Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, Kevin Durant, and Derek Carr) and whether that news has changed any of their minds when it comes to buying, selling, or holding their respective cards.
Lastly, they finish the show off with the regular "Pick One" segment where each host names two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Shohei Ohtani 2017 Bowman Chrome Mega Box Chrome (WBC Japan) vs. Shohei Ohtani 2018 Topps Heritage Chrome refractor /569; Connor McDavid SP Authentic Future Watch Autograph Card vs. Wayne Gretzky OPC Rookie Card (PSA 8.5); Tom Brady 2000 Playoff Contenders Rookie Autograph Card (BGS 8.5) vs. Julio Rodriguez Topps Cosmic Chrome Autograph Superfractor (PSA 9).
