Description
EPISODE 70 - Clark, Hyung, and John give kudos to SGC after a podcast listener messaged them about a positive experience with the grading company despite admitting they damaged his card while in their possession.
The guys move on to the Hobby Headlines segment where they each answer what they would do with $1,000 in this bear market to maximize their investment in sports cards. Some suggestions included buying raw cards and then grading them, targeting a couple of $500 slabbed cards and holding, or just putting it all in for a single card currently worth $1,000 based on high conviction of the player.
Next the guys introduce a new segment called "Who's That Player?" where they're given two sets of stats and they try to guess which player the stats belong to. And then once revealed, they would give their opinion on who they would rather invest in.
They end the episode as usual with "Pick One" where they name two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Shohei Ohtani 2018 Topps Chrome Update HMT1 Gold /50 PSA 9 ($1,171 last sold on eBay) vs Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2019 Bowman Chrome Gold Auto /50 PSA 9 ($713 last sold on eBay); Topps Chrome Basketball Gold vs. Panini Prizm Gold; Michael Jordan 2008-09 Upper Deck Premier Preeminence Autograph Card (#22/25) (PSA 10/10) (17K at Goldin) vs. Michael Jordan 1986 Fleer PSA 9 RC (18K on ebay).
