Description
EPISODE 39 - Clark, Hyung, and John answer another question from a podcast listener in this episode – Is it a better investment to buy a player's non-rookie low-numbered, autograph cards at a low price vs. paying a premium for the player's rookie card? The guys weigh in with their thoughts during the Hobby Headlines segment on which factors to consider if you're investing in a second or third-year card. But off the top of the show, Hyung briefly talks about why he opened up his online shop at https://ysportscards.shop where you can directly buy his slabbed sports cards (as well as go on eBay for daily auctions).
Clark, Hyung, and John then play Fast Five where they choose whether they would buy, hold, or sell on five players' sports cards. This week's list includes three football players who just played in the Super Bowl (Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp) as well as two MLB players coming off of injury seasons (Ronald Acuna Jr. and Mike Trout).
The show ends off with its regular weekly segment, Pick One, where they debate which card they would rather invest in. The Pick One pairs for this episode include: Mike Trout Topps Update Rookie Card (PSA 10) vs. Mike Trout 2020 Topps Definitive Collection Autograph Card /5; Juan Soto SSP Gatorade Bath Card vs. Juan Soto 1st Bowman Chrome Autograph Card; Do you send your 1994-97 Topps Finest card in with the coating or without (if there's a 20 per cent chance of getting PSA 10)?
