EPISODE 44 - Clark, John, and Hyung start the show by giving their takes on some recent hobby news including what the Upper Deck Radiance triple autograph card of Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant ultimately sold for (and how much they were off by in their final predictions); what kind of impact Drake has on the hobby as he gets deeper into breaking high-end sports card products; and the recent sales of Veefriends (by zerocool) trading cards on eBay.
Then in the Hobby Headlines segment, the guys talk about "sleepers" in the hobby, identifying which cards/sets/players they think are currently undervalued. Conversely, they give their takes on cards that are "cheap" but still not worth investing in.
They close off the episode with the regular weekly segment, Pick One. It was the Hot Takes edition of Pick One this week, where Clark, Hyung and John each give two hobby hot takes and debate which one is more likely to happen or more true. The Pick One pairs for this episode include: Ja Morant rookie cards are underpriced vs. Luka Doncic rookie cards are overpriced; Luka Doncic and the Mavericks will surprise everyone and win the championship this year vs. Darius Garland and the Cavaliers will surprise everyone and win the championship this year; Zion Williamson rookie cards will be worth more than Ja Morant rookie cards by the end of next season vs. Zion Williamson rookie cards will be worth close to nothing by the end of next season.
