EPISODE 30 - To end the 2021 season of Cards To The Moon, Clark, Hyung, and John look back at the year and see which hobby predictions they got right (ie. Stephen Curry cards to the moon!) and which ones they got dead wrong (ie. investing in Lakers this season or MPJ). But before they get into their hits and misses of 2021, the guys share their initial thoughts on Logan Paul's $3.5M purchase of an authenticated case of 1st edition Pokemon cards. And then they go over some other recent record breaking sales in the hobby (including a $750K+ Luka Doncic as well as $72K Spiderman PMG) and discuss whether they think the buyer overpaid or got a steal. The guys then end off the last show of 2021 with the "Pick One – Hot Takes Edition" with each offering two hot takes on what they expect to see in the hobby in 2022, which they will subsequently debate on which is more likely to occur. The Pick One pairs in this episode are: Bobby Witt Jr. 1st Bowman Chrome Auto will be a six-figure card (non superfractor) vs. Wander Franco 1st Bowman Chrome Autograph will be a six-figure card (non superfractor); The Honus Wagner T206 will become the first eight-figure card vs. any other card will become the first eight-figure card; Hockey cards are going to see a major boom in 2022 vs. golf cards are going to see a major boom in 2022.
