Description
Recently, I had a popular post deleted in a large maternal mental health group. The basis for this was because my post on postpartum nutrition felt like it was "anti western medicine".If you are a provider and you're not supporting your clients with at least sharing the significance of nutrient repletion (and therefore emotional and mental support), your clients are missing out considerably. This doesn’t in any way mean that a provider is not good enough and not valuable enough for all the work they do without nutrition attached. WE NEED COUNSELORS/TRAINED MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS. They are essential to this conversation. AND.... if we as providers are truly going to prevent, assess, and treat PMADs, we must include nutrition (even if it’s a few handouts and a referral). This episode is for those who feel the same calling I do. For those who believe we must pave a better way when it comes to whole body postpartum care.Go to https://postpartumu.com/postpartum-university-podcast-ep71/ for more!In this episode, I am sharing:Why providers have an obligation to share the significance of nutritionAdding value while staying within your scope of practiceHigh rates of deficiency in women after birth and the connection to anxiety and depressionRoot cause care is the only way forwardBeing stuck in awareness mode instead of making actual progressTaking better care of our mothers will change the world *BRAND NEW - 18 Pages of Free Postpartum Nutrition Handouts* - Download the free collection HERE!Are your symptoms being caused by postpartum depletion, or something else? - Take The Postpartum Assessment HERE!Postpartum University® Training for Professionals:-Holistic Postpartum Nutrition Training-Postpartum Nutrition Certification - If you are in need of support, or have questions you can send an email to admin@postpartumu.com OR you can reach out in The Postpartum Circle Facebook group.Where to find me: postpartumu.comFacebookInstagramPinterest
