Description

Matt Fitzgerald, who has written several running books, including 80/20, Racing Weight, Diet Cults, and How Bad Do You Want It, returns to the podcast to discuss his latest book, Running the Dream: One Summer Living, Training, and Racing with a Team of World-Class Runners Half My Age. Matt shares how he lived a lifelong dream for thirteen weeks in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he trained and lived with the HOKA NAZ Elite Team under coach Ben Rosario. Matt shares how he overcame imposter syndrome, changed his running, rehabbed an injury, and achieved his goal of setting a new 13 year-old PR of 2:39 at age 45 at the Chicago Marathon. Matt’s tips and experience will resonate with all runners of all ages, especially those who want to overcome a longstanding plateau. Matt, who contracted and thankfully, recovered, from Coronavirus, also shares how he eased back into running after being ill for several weeks. Matt’s book will be released on 5/5/20 and can be found in all local and national book retailers.
