Description

So let's get into today's episode. but before we do that, I want you to remember, the best way to learn is to listen to something. Have it resonate, go practice it, get feedback implemented again and get feedback back and keep going. So I want you to hear these set, your direction focus. And if anytime, during the week, a couple of days after you listen to this, you lose focus, come back, spend five minutes, listening to it and then get right back into it heading towards your vision or heading towards your goals. So speaking of that, let's talk about today's episode, which is about specificity .Specificity, so in particularwith your marketing, with your messaging, with your customers, with your team and with your spouse, with yourself, Specific messaging is the way to win, but I'm gonna use marketing as the lens today to talk about this. When we think about like your customers, I describe the things that your customers do in a before state objections and after state, and then the ways in which we help people or modalities and then action steps for people to move forward. So before state, before state or things like, where somebody has before they use your product, where somebody has before they use your service, where somebody is before they get coaching with you and we see this all the time. And it's like, Oh, do you want to do you want to lose weight? That's super broad. But if it's, do you want our help losing five pounds in seven days? Super specific. Think about objections. It's like, you don't have time and it's like, Oh, you don't have time before the kids go to school. Now you're attracting parents. Now you're talking to your avatar. And so what I want you to do is as you go through your week, this week, I want you to kind of have a pause button. In front of you when you're about to send an email to a team member, when you're about to write a social media post, when you're going to plan the headline, when you're going to think about writing an email about your product, I want you to hit a pause button, and I want you to ask yourself, is this as specific as I can be? Cause specificity creates trust. Trust creates authority. And then with authority, people feel safe and then they take the action that you want them to take.  Another example, giving somebody a call to action. One of my favorite ones that I see all the time is people will be like click the link in my profile, click the link below. Well, when?Click the link right now, click the link in the next 30 seconds. Click the link today. When you add that level of specificity to that call action, it makes it a lot more real. And it also starts an internal clock or a dialogue of accountability in the person reading it. And this little secret alone will transform the results of your marketing. It'll transform the way that people respond to what you put out into the world. And so I want you to ask yourself as you're doing your day, your work, your planning, anything that you're doing. Are you being as specific as possible? Are there places where you can be more specific? Can you be more specific with your team and reduce four emails back and forth? Can you be more specific with your calls to action and get it really clear for your customers on what you want them to do? Can you get more specific in describing where they are, what their objections are and where they want to go to help them get there. See, I don't believe it's ever really a product problem. Your product is probably amazing. Your service is probably amazing, but if there's ambiguity or looseness or a lack of clarity, like vagueness, people can't trust it because then they're just back out stuck. They need a direct hit to what resonates with them.  And so for people they're going to identify like, Oh, I want to lose weight, right? But we know that there's something deeper in there. I want to take my shirt off at the beach. I want to feel confident at the pool. I want to lose five pounds in the next 30 days. I wa
