    INTRODUCTION

There are many external things in life that we often take for granted, such as the sun rising for another day, the air that we breathe not being detrimental to our health, and even of there always being potable water to drink (at least for those living in North America and Europe). The same can be said of internal things, such as the BLOOD that flows through our veins, arteries, and blood vessels to every parts of our bodies! And while blood is vital for humans for life on earth, we often do not consider how important blood really is to God! And so, in this book we will look at both aspects, in terms of seeing how necessary blood is to all human beings, and also to God!

There is an Addenda at the back of the book with five sections. In Addendum A, we have a presentation of the four ages of time. In Addendum B, we have a presentation of the two separate comings from Heaven to earth of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. In Addendum C, we have Chosen of God for a purpose. In Addendum D, we have a presentation of God’s resurrection program in time. And then in Addendum E, we have a presentation of the gospel, which is the good news that God has given in His word regarding His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for any reader who might not have as yet this vital personal relationship with God, through faith in His Son.

What should also be mentioned before closing this Introduction, because we are all somewhat curious by nature, is that after completing 21 years of formal education and then spending almost 28 years working in Project Engineering and Management in the Corporate offices of two large utilities, God called His servant as a non-denominational evangelist in early 1999, and then sent him out over two thousand miles, away from family and friends, to the place of service God assigned, which is where His servant has been, and is still serving Him, as evangelist, author, and counselor. The author is a widower with three adopted children, all now married with a family of their own.

Since the author’s two websites are no longer active, one may access the books, and places to purchase, by typing Roger Henri Trepanier, books in any search engine. This book, and all the author’s books, are available for purchase in print format or as an eBook on all major distribution channels.

And now my prayer is that God will richly bless you as you read this book, and greatly minister to every need in your life, as only God can! To Him be all praise, honor, and glory, with thanksgiving, both now and forevermore! Amen.

Did you know: Human blood contains metal atoms including iron, chromium, manganese, zinc, lead, and copper. You may also be surprised to know that blood contains small amounts of gold. The human body has about 0.2 milligrams of gold that is mostly found in the blood!

    CHAPTER ONE

    Did you know?

    General facts about blood

Blood is essential to life, as it is constantly flowing and keeping our bodies working. Blood is mostly fluid, but also contains cells and proteins that literally make it thicker than water. Our blood also acts as a health barometer in that blood test results are often the first sign of changes that could point to serious illness in our bodies.

What blood does in our bodies

Blood flowing through our blood vessels is responsible for the following five functions: 1) It carries oxygen and nutrients throughout your body; 2) it forms blood clots to manage bleeding; 3) it protects our bodies from infections; 4) it carries waste products; and 5) it regulates our body temperature.

The four parts of our blood

Blood has four parts: 1) Red blood cells; 2) white blood cells; 3) platelets; and 4) plasma. Each part has specific and important tasks, as we see from what follows:

    1) Red blood cells

Red blood cells account for about 45% of our blood. They carry oxygen throughout our bodies. They also help to clear waste from our bodies. These cells get their distinctive red color from the protein haemoglobin, which helps the red blood cells deliver the oxygen other cells need to produce energy.

Red blood cells can squeeze through the tiniest sections of our circulatory system, which is made up of a network of capillaries, veins, and arteries that blood moves through on its journey throughout our bodies. Red blood cells have a short life span, as they live for about 120 days before they are replaced with new cells.

    2) White blood cells

White blood cells account for less than 1% of our blood and is part of our immune system. When invaders such as viruses or cancerous cells launch attacks, our white blood cells move quickly to find and destroy them. White blood cells can move from capillaries into our tissues quite easily.

    There are five types of white blood cells: 1) Neutrophils kill bacteria and fungi and remove foreign debris; 2) Lymphocytes consist of T-cells, natural killer cells and B-cells that protect against viral infections and produce antibodies that help us fight infection;
