Our responsibility as caretakers
I love your June issue of JOY! showing Jesus holding a little dog. This is the Jesus we all serve. The Jesus who is our Shepherd. The Jesus who made / created all things. Every creature great and small. Thank you for reminding the Body of Christ of our obligation to look after His creation. I pray for all the harmless little animals that have no voice and who are mistreated by cruel / ignorant human beings. I think many are ignorant to our role of being caretakers because our churches do not teach on stewardship of animals. They teach on stewardship of finances, but not God’s creation. Every week I hear a brief teaching on giving and money – and yet I have never heard a sermon on people taking care of animals. We have the spirit of the living God in us, if
