As humanity struggles to find solutions to universal problems and answers to the most pressing questions emanating from discouraged spirits and wearied souls, author, minister and servant of God Pastor Marjorie Esomowei invites us to consider one of the possible root causes for our corporate and individual struggles, bewilderment and seemingly incomprehensible malaise stemming from what the Bible calls a curse. Hollywood’s creation of imageries depicting cauldrons, magic potions, black hats and black cats in children’s movies have desensitized and convinced many people that curses are mere figments of man’s imagination and a concept only useful for entertaining the masses.

However, as you read the pages of this book, you will discover the truth. The Bible clearly depicts and defines for us the concept and reality of curses and how we can not only be delivered from them but also continue to live inoculated and immune from their insidious presence. INTRODUCTION

The Church (The body of Christ) has in the past couple of years extensively discussed the issue of curses relating to believers in Christ and to unbelievers alike. There has been extensive talk about whether Christians can be affected by curses or not.

We have seen curses being broken over people who perhaps even knew nothing about how those curses were attracted into their lives. We have seen whole ministries centred on the issue of breaking curses.

In the chapters that follow hereafter, I intend by the direction of the Holy Spirit to make a step by step guide into subjects relating to defining curses, identifying curses even when they are not so obvious, breaking curses, exposing wrong teachings that are so prevalent today about curses and showing us ways to enter the blessings of God rather than staying in the curse. I have also outlined several strong and prophetic prayer points that will enhance our breakthrough into the blessing and break you free from the curse no matter the source of the curse.

By the grace of God, in addition, this book is intended to also review instances of curses in the bible as we are admonished to learn from the examples of others.

It is important that I also review the potential sources of curses as we know that the saying what you don’t know can’t kill you isn’t always right. What we do not know can harm or even kill.

This is a biblical book intended to releasing us from curses, would not be complete without a review of the many biblical ways to break curses over our lives, family and those around us, bringing them into the prophetic rest of God and to give an in-depth teaching on our blessed heritage as the Church of God.

Finally, I hope to also add words regarding the redemptive work of Christ, which is able to deliver anyone from the power of the curse. It is a beautiful thing to see God work in the life of a believer bringing such a person from the place of a curse to bountiful blessings and mercy.

It is amazing and good to know that as The Lord began to wrap up the logos and Rhema of His word in the Holy Bible, in the very closing chapters, The Lord gives a powerful declaration which every believer needs to keep hidden in our spirit man. The book of Revelations, we know stands for Christ’s revelation about the things that were, things that are and then the things that are to come. Jesus speaks here about the things to come. Looking into the future of our own time in the dispensation of grace, power and glory. He declares and there shall be no more curse.
