INTRODUCTION

When God called His servant to serve Him fulltime as an evangelist in early 1999, it was to preach and teach the whole counsel of God. And what is meant by ‘the whole counsel of God’ here is all that God has said to human beings in time. In other words, there is nothing that God has said, and which is now recorded in the Bible that is to be left out of what one is preach and teach others!

The reason this was mentioned to begin here is that this book deals with a serious subject, which is especially directed at those who do not as yet know God in a personal relationship. Such are, in God’s sight, under His judgment, and are, bar none, on their way to a lost eternity, which means away from His Presence forever! After coming to know God in a personal relationship on January 14, 1980, His servant can testify to the truth that there is no greater peace and joy that can be derived in this life than knowing The living God!

At the same time, the reality is that it is a terrifying thing to fall into the Hands of The Living God, for if one ends one’s life on earth as not yet knowing God through faith in His precious Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, then all that remains to fall upon one’s life is the full wrath of God in judgment, for God is also described in His word as being a consuming fire!

Therefore, what God’s servant will attempt to do in this book is to point those who are yet unbelievers to God, in the hope that many will find mercy and grace from God to come to Him through faith in all He has done for human beings already through His Son – in His dying at the cross to pay the penalty due the sins of the human race, being buried to put those sins away, and then being raised from the dead the third day, so as to be alive forevermore to give eternal life to those who believe in Him! For life that is really life is only obtained in receiving from God the forgiveness of all sins ever committed against Him and also receiving eternal life from Him to henceforth live by, as now a child of God forever!

What should also be noted at the outset is that there is an Addenda with three sections at the back of the book. In Addendum A, there is a brief outline of the four ages of time, for any reading the book who might not be familiar with this information. Then in Addendum B, there is a brief outline of the two comings from Heaven to earth in time of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ; and in Addendum C, we have a presentation of the gospel, which is the good news that God gives in His word regarding His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for any readers who might not have as yet this vital personal relationship with God, through faith in His Son.

What should also be mentioned before closing this Introduction, because we are all somewhat curious by nature, is that after completing 21 years of formal education and then spending almost 28 years working in Project Engineering and Management in the Corporate offices of two large utilities, God called His servant as a non-denominational evangelist in early 1999, and then sent him out over two thousand miles, away from family and friends, to the place of service God assigned, which is where His servant has been and is still serving Him as evangelist, author, and counselor.
