Getting to Know GodTHE PERFECT GOD OF PEACE

It was a perfect day. I saw a perfect sunset. What a perfect date. We tend to throw around the word ‘perfect’ without really qualifying it. After all, does that mean that there could be no better sunset than that specific one?

Yet, numerous times the Bible uses the word perfect to describe God. As we consider this attribute of God, we’ll also look at another related one.

Compared to what?

To say something is perfect requires a standard by which it is measured, or at least a context in which it is given. For example, the word is regularly used in Leviticus (Gen 6:9).
