    CHAPTER THREE

    Aaron met Ashley because he had confessed his love for tall women to a friend named Jessica. It was the main reason that he was single. He had tried to date women who were shorter than he was, or close to his height, but it had never worked out because even if she could handle his own anatomical peculiarity, eventually he would lose interest. A woman had to tower over him to really get his motor running. He considered five-foot-nine the shortest he could possibly consider himself getting serious about. Jessica had told him that he had found the perfect woman for him but had refused to tell him anything else.

    Aaron thought that the woman was no doubt tall. He was just hoping that she could compare to Rachel, his ex who had stood six-foot-two. She was the woman that he had dated the longest, and it probably wouldn’t have ended except that Rachel had her own problems with fidelity. He had put up with her cheating on him for as long as he could stand it, and finally he had left.

    The funny thing was that when he had left her, she had then started to beg him to come back to her. He never understood it. Why did she cheat in the first place if she was going to act that way? It just didn’t make sense.
