WHY THIS BOOK?
I am an extremely positive and sunny person, some would say as Joy from Inside Out! But in spite of this natural gift of mine, in the past it has happened to me to use words or expressions that were not exactly kind and positive towards the situation or towards me (we women can be ruthless and terrible about our bodies!). As a result I was feeding a vicious circle that didn't make me feel good!
Partly for fun and partly as a challenge, I started to use sweet, loving and positive words towards the situation and towards my body. towards my body. Day after day, at times when I felt that they were now on the tip of my tongue negative" words or expressions, I would pull out my little sheet of paper with the affirmations that I had marked down and I would and read them again!
Be careful, it's not that by repeating loving phrases my body has magically transformed or that the excess pounds have gone away overnight. or that the excess pounds have gone away overnight! Not that! However, I have exhausted to the sound of affirmations positive affirmations to that little voice that was bullying
me, and that in fact did not take me anywhere.
I started to be more serene and to weigh my body with new eyes, to appreciate it every day, to move, to feed myself. You probably already know or understood from my story, that we create results through our behaviors, which are determined by our emotions, which in turn are also determined by our thoughts. So I propose the same approach for money: to bring you to see
your situation, your accounts and your portfolio with new eyes.
I propose again the affirmations that I have collected over the years, from these choose the ones you need, the ones that resonate with you and that you want to hear. Write them down on a piece of paper, on post-it notes, or on your phone and use them, read them as often as you can.
Like other positive affirmations that bring you harmony and peace of mind during times of pressure, these affirmations can help ease your mind when you're feeling disconcerted, worried, or depressed about the topic of self-esteem, self-confidence, beauty as a black woman, and many others.

INTRODUCTION
As you read this book you will discover how to face each day head on and how the positive affirmations I will list will prove to be valuable companions for each day of your life. Positive affirmations will guide you toward self-awareness as a black woman and greater happiness. But what exactly are positive affirmations and why can they be useful to us?
Positive affirmations are phrases aimed at improving our person. These positive thoughts must not, however, be far from the condition you are living today, otherwise they can cause a mental contradiction, defined cognitive dissonance, with the consequence of obtaining the opposite effect and reinforce your pre-existing negative certainties for a long time. However, if all negative ideas succeed so intensely in determining our view of reality, it means that the words of positive affirmations can also do the same and you need to understand how.
First of all, you need to try to transform your negative thoughts into positive affirmations that are functional for the purpose at hand. If you often think in this moment of your life negative thoughts like these, I think about giving up everything and everyone, it's not my destiny, maybe it's all my fault, everything I undertake, all my attempts always end up badly, I can't change my life, I will never be successful, I'm unlucky, my mind doesn't support me, my body doesn't respond to me, no one in the world cares about me . .. and so on, are all pessimistic ideas, that hammer you, when things are not going well and to which you lend faith, as if they were real events. The human being tends to have more negative thoughts than positive ones, because the survival instinct pushes him to the prevention of inauspicious events. Negative statements come to you perhaps more naturally and powerfully because you have repeated them to yourself so many times over the years you have lived. And, therefore, in order for the positive ones to become powerful, you must repeat them to yourself regularly and constantly, so as to facilitate psychophysical changes.
Also, you believe the negative ones so much, because you rely on previous experiences. In order to believe in the positive ones, you must refer to real positive experiences that have occurred at other times in your life, so that you believe they are possible to achieve. Negative thoughts are very influential, because they are accompanied by very strong emotions. You must, therefore, put your mind on the positive affirmations, thinking about the emotions related to them.

Do these phrases sound familiar? These are the negative thoughts you repeat to yourself over and over like a sadistic Miss Rottermaier whenever something doesn't go perfectly in your life. But what's even worse, you almost always end up believing these negative statements and, according to the mechanism of self-fulfilling prophecy, turn them into your reality. So what is it that makes these negative thoughts so effective? Let's start with the bad news.
By our nature, unfortunately we humans tend to place much more emphasis on negative thoughts than positive ones. This is a well-known evolutionary mechanism that made us survive in the Savannah (it's a sin to think wrong, but sometimes you get it right
), but unfortunately it does not contribute in any way to our happiness. This means that in order to make positive affirmations work, we will necessarily have to make a conscious effort. Having clarified this point, let's take a look at what makes certain of our negative thoughts so predominant and how we can use these same characteristics to our advantage.
