    Sirtfood Diet is a new member of the trending diet plans that have been quite popular for the last few years. This diet plan was developed by two nutritionists from the United Kingdom. During the initial days of the diet plan, it was marketed as being the ‘revolutionary diet plan.’ The primary goal of this diet is to restrict the consumption of calories that will ultimately lead to weight loss.     What is the Sirt Diet?

    The Sirt Diet is all about the burning of excess body fat that can otherwise disturb the state of your health. Unlike other types of diets, the Sirt Diet focuses on weight loss without experiencing starvation or malnutrition. Skinny genes can be activated by fasting and exercising. There are some types of food items that are composed of polyphenols (which is a chemical compound). When such food items are consumed, it can exert stress on the cells of the body. It is a gene that is responsible for controlling the mating process of yeast cells. In was during the 1990s when some researchers discovered cells that are of homologous nature to the SIR2. These cells were discovered in worms and fruit flies. These cells came to be known as the sirtuins.

    There are some specific food items that can activate sirtuins. They are also known as SIRT that can be found in human bodies. They are seven in number that ranges from SIRT1 to SIRT7. There are several benefits that have been proved by various researchers regarding these food items. Such food items come with the power of mimicking the overall benefits of restriction of calories along with fasting as they can easily activate the sirtuins.
