What is the Mediterranean Diet?
The Mediterranean Diet is more a lifestyle than a diet program, centered around the lifestyles of those living in the Mediterranean countries such as Southern Italy, Greece and others that have an abundance of foods available to them year-round that are packed with healthy proteins, essential acids and are low in ingredients such as added sugars, refined grains, processed foods, trans fat, preservatives, added colorings and refined oils.
