What is the Vegetarian Diet?
A vegetarian diet is one where an individual completely stops eating meat, fish and poultry in their daily meals.
Often people begin a vegetarian diet for religious or personal reasons in addition to having strong feelings relating towards animal rights and their ethical treatment as well as for environmental reasons.
There are currently 6 popular types of vegetarian diet that individuals can choose to follow and these are as follows.
Lacto-Vegetarian Diet.
This type of vegetarian diet is one where individual eliminated meat, fish, poultry and eggs but still allows for the consumption of dairy products.
Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian Diet.
This is a type of vegetarian diet where the person following it eliminates meat, fish, poultry but still consumes eggs and dairy products.
Ovo-Vegetarian Diet.
This version of the vegetarian diet is one that restricts the consumption of meat, fish, poultry and dairy products but allows an individual to consume
