Why Anger Is

This is a killer instinct that can get you in big ass problem.

Anger Management Exercise
Anger and the Body
====
1.Body Tapping
This simple exercise helps you feel your body in an earthy way.* Sit comfortably on the ground, on a cushion or however feels best. What you are going to do is gently tap your body, from head to toe. Start with your head. Using your fingertips, pat your scalp, face and neck.
As you tap, feel the goodness of the contact between your fingers and skin. Notice whatever sensations are there as you tap. If you feel numb, that too is a sensation, so just notice that. Feel the feeling of numbness, or tingling, or warmth.
Then as you tap your head, say out loud to yourself, This is my head.
Then tapping your face, say This is my face,
and then, This is my neck.
The idea is to take possession of your body. Most of us have ignored our body for a long time, so this is a way to welcome your body back, and to acknowledge that it is in fact ‘your body’.
Move to your shoulders. Tap your left shoulder with your right fist, softly formed. Do your trapezius muscle, shoulder, and then lift your arm and tap your armpit area. Then do your whole arm. Once again, allow the sensations to arise, and rest with whatever you notice there.
You don’t need to crank anything up, just relax with what you feel as you tap. Just feel and appreciate your body, exactly as it is. Then after tapping for a moment or two, say out loud, This is my shoulder,
and then This is my arm.
Continue on this way, tapping and verbally acknowledging your sides, your chest, stomach, pelvis, legs, and feet. Don’t skip any parts, and give yourself the time and space to relax into the process.
SHOWER EXERCISE
This is an enjoyable and simple exercise you can do it while taking a shower.* Here’s what you do:
Take a shower. While you are in the shower, feel the water as it bathes you skin. The idea is to use the sensation of the water to get in touch with your body and begin to enjoy it.
Start with your head. Allow the shower water to bathe your head, and notice the sensations. Notice the temperature of the water, the vibrating quality, and the wetness, as it gently massages your scalp. Let those sensations ripple through your skull and head. Then turn and close your eyes and let the water caress your face, allowing the richness of feeling to wash over you.
Next, move to your shoulders. Let the water pulse onto your shoulders, noticing and absorbing all the sensations. Let yourself enjoy the water, and you can even give a loud sigh of relief and pleasure.
Continue the exercise, progressing through your chest, back, arms, pelvis, legs, and feet. Allow time for a relaxing, soothing experience.
The point is simple: To feel your body. Do this whenever you feel like it, and get yourself into the habit of feeling and being present in your body.
