Donna J Fraley

Donna Jo Fraley is a student of metaphysical/spiritual teachings. She has spent the last three years exploring the questions "Who Am I" and "Why Am I Here?" She was living a life of duality, constant mind chatter, and disharmony. She has attended many personal growth and self-healing seminars in a quest to understand her purpose on earth. After spending much time in prayer and meditation, she had a major breakthrough. A profound change occurred and as a result, she started writing poetry. Her hope is to inspire others that might be going through a similar situation. Donna Jo Fraley lives in Central Florida. She currently works as a teacher and is in the process of working on her second CD. She loves to sing and is the choir director of her church.

    Introduction

It is said that all things happen for a reason. Each and every moment of our lives is a lesson. These moments are part of our path, a path that has already been put in place. I did not always see it that way but I always knew there was something much greater than I.

My spiritual journey started in 2011. I had often asked myself who am I? why am I here? All I knew was that I was looking for emotional and spiritual well-being. It all began with a series of life altering events that took place resulting in an exploration of my soul. The space I was in was full of ego and I felt incomplete. I knew I was here on this earth with a much higher purpose. Not brought up in any formal religious environment, I chose to go to church. I started reading about world religions. I started to ask questions of myself. What was my purpose? What was my path in life and do I control that path or something more divine?

In late 2011, right after my mother passed away, I started down a road that was not planned. For two years I searched for happiness and reached out for fulfillment in many different ways. What I didn’t know at the time was that what I needed was always within me and I could access it at anytime.

My poetry is what helped me during this time. I
