Marty Cole

Aurora Belderol is a spiritual seeker and accomplished pianist who has dedicated her life to inspire others to discover the music in their lives. She finished her bachelor's degree in piano performance, and minored in marimba perfomance at the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, Philippines. She is the owner and director of Rising Stars Music and Performing Arts in Walnut, California. In her musical career, Aurora has received several distinguished awards for her service and support to the community she lives in. Marty Cole, a three-time cancer survivor, has lived a life filled with adventures and challenges. He was a community group leader for eleven years and has been a teacher for several years at California State University, Fullerton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the Ruby Gerontology Center in Fullerton, California. He wrote "My Amazing Transformation of Love, Courage, and Wisdom", "My Love Story Book of Poetry", and co-wrote "Poetic Gestalt" with twenty-five other poets from the OLLI poetry class. He lives according to his motto: Spread love and gratitude every day.

Foreword

Engaging in fully embracing life is a choice. It takes courage. It increases our awareness, and it’s filled with surprises. Experiences beyond our imagination are delivered to us, and we learn from them if we so choose, especially those that we sense are negative at first.

Yes, there’s usually a gift in them. From adversity arise new needs, thoughts, inventions, and ways of being and doing. We each are potential agents of change.

When we choose to discover and utilize those gifts, we deepen our own understanding, broaden our wisdom, and impact the world. Perhaps other people’s pain may lessen. They may move into positive action. Their lives could become enriched, or they might live more happily. That’s not for us to determine. It’s our privilege to live from our values and personal integrity, bringing forth our inner light and positivity, serving others in unique ways that each of us is able to contribute. That’s what is available for each of us.

Sharing love guides me in my spiritual journey, which is continually bringing people, places and experiences for growth and blessing. With similar backgrounds and lessons, Marty Cole and I fortunately met. Through his autobiography I found what you’ve just read happening in and from his life. His service to others had made a difference.

As a kindred spirit, I am happy to help you discover some of what you’ll find out about Marty. Through his books and his teaching, he’s actively bringing forth his vision of sharing love. He desires to bring inspiration and be a shining light for others taking positive action in their lives. His special mission to effect a deeply needed change for our immediate and future quality of life is worthy. All of us can transform our fears and doubts into love and peace. We need to now.
