Twenty Tips to Un-distraction
()
About this ebook
I hope this e-book will help you to feel less distracted. Although I have started with how to eliminate external distractors first, I believe that eliminating internal distractors is far harder and it will take more time. That is why I put the external distractors first in this e-book.
Distractors are all around us. However, I believe that the distractors inside of us are just as hard to get around. Also, because they are inside of us, they are especially hard to resist. But hopefully, this e-book will offer some tips to avoid your most troublesome distractors.
Distractors, both internal and external, can be hard to resist. However, I believe that with practise and patience, you can resist some of the most telling ones so that you can get a lot of writing done in the most efficient way possible.
I know writers who spend more than 20 hours per week writing. Yet, they don’t have a lot to show for at the end of every year. Possibly one reason why this is the case is because they are distracted a lot and they waste time when they are supposed to be writing.
If you are in a similar situation, this e-book is for you.

About the Author
Introduction
Distraction is one of the main reasons why writers feel that they are unsuccessful.
I have been coaching writers for over ten years now, and I have heard time and again how overwhelmed and unsuccessful writers feel. One reason is because writers are disorganized and can’t keep their minds on what they are about to work on during their writing time.
Many writers have full time jobs. So, switching gears can be very difficult. Some writers can only write in the evening after dinner. It can take a lot of determination and self-discipline to write during those times when they are tired and exhausted.
In addition, usually their minds are racing and they feel that they waste a good portion of their writing time on trifles such as answering email and texting instead of writing.
Some writers find that their mind is racing with worries and concerns from the day. Some may have even had an argument with their spouse or children over dinner. This can only cause even more problems to focus and concentrate.
After listening to a lot of the writers that I coached for over the years, I have discovered that there are ways to overcome these points of distraction. Yes, you can combat distraction and become the best writer that you can be.
In this e-book, I lay out 20 tips to combat distraction. I outline internal ways to combat distraction and 10 external ones. Each of these tips, when mastered, will help you assuage a lot of your distractors.
I write this book primarily for the working writer. However, the tips outlined here in this e-book are relevant to all writers, even if you are
