How to make your procrastination work for you

AH, PROCRASTINATION: THE IDLE tapping of pen against paper. The familiar countdown toward a deadline that is hours to passing. A blank mind and an even blanker Word document, the inability to just start gnawing at the back of your brain even as you open yet another unrelated tab online.

As a creative writer, as a journalist, and as the owner of my own boutique writing agency for over eight years, I have had procrastination rear its ugly head more than once — and, early in my career, it was a mental block that caused me to miss out on big opportunities.

That’s why I’m deconstructing the Jenga tower that is procrastination so that you can learn you rather than you.
