About this ebook

Katia Rodgers was having the worst day in her life. She was an emotional wreck; it is the first death anniversary of her mother, her new book that she has been trying to write is behind deadline and her ex-fiancé wouldn't stop calling and pestering her.

To make matter worst aside from being drenched walking in the rain and locking herself out of her apartment, she twisted her ankle and tripped over her groceries and slammed her head on the door and landed on the floor.

But was it really the worst day for her? Because a new hot neighbor Treyton Phillips who just moved in opposite her apartment appeared to help her out and became her knight in shining armor.

He offered his place for her to stay for the meantime as they wait for the building manager to open up Katia’s apartment; he gave her his clothes to change into, nursed her twisted ankle and kept her company.

Katia felt the undeniable attraction between her and Treyton. And the tension between them is starting to build up.

But is Treyton Phillips really who he says he was? Who is this hunky new neighbor?

Author

D.C. Chagnon

D.C. Chagnon was born in a quiet little town in Tennessee, and this was also the place where her love for the romantic and exciting was born. The author remembers days spent running on hillsides and swimming in brooks, and endless hours spent reading books that were her escape from the mundane. It was on a fateful summer day when the teenager wrote her first romantic short story as a submission for a local paper’s contest. Signed under a pseudonym, her story that told of summer and the sun, of a friendship gone beyond its limits, and heart-aching tragedy, garnered praise and the first prize for the young story-teller. She was eighteen, and on that day, she decided that she wanted to write for the rest of her life. The author is happily enjoying the married life with her husband of five years and their two young children. She is an avid traveler and has sought every opportunity to tour places halfway across the globe. While at home, the author makes it a full-time commitment to be a mom, but also spends a lot of her time coming up with new story material. She is often heard saying how difficult it is to balance being a wholesome house mom while writing erotic fiction on the side. While she outwardly claims her inspirations to be the likes of renowned novelists Lisa Kleypas and Anne Rice, she does admit to being a fan of the more current works such as those of the Fifty Shades of Grey author and the Twilight series. On her off times, she can also be seen reading the more wholesome works by Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.

Katia Rodgers let her head fall back and thud against the black door to her apartment. She was sitting on the dirty beige carpet outside her apartment nursing a twisted ankle, a bruised ass, a throbbing head and a serious case of emotional drainage. This had been the worst day ever. It was the one year anniversary of her mother’s death, so she was already an emotional wreck. She was behind on her deadline for her new book and had a serious case of writer’s block. She’d been sitting at her desk for six hours when her ex-fiancée, David, had called to apologize and beg. She’d refused to talk to him but he’d kept calling and she’d eventually shut her phone off. She’d gotten up too quickly and proceeded to fall and mash her head on her desk chair before landing soundly on her ass. Then she rushed out to the store for cat food, managed to put on the ruined, holey flats she’d forgotten to throw away, gotten drenched in a sudden down pour, been leered at, and twisted her ankle climbing the three flights of stairs to her walk-up one bedroom. To top it all off, she’d managed not only to lock herself out of the apartment but to trip over the grocery bag and slam her head off the door frame before landing on the floor.

She was an intriguing looking woman. Katia stood 5’5" and weighed about 135lbs. Her stomach wasn’t perfectly flat but her hips flared seductively and tapered down to muscled, well-defined legs. Her long dirty blonde hair was streaked with gold. Her eyes were a unique shade of purple and angled slightly at the corners. She had high cheekbones, a small straight nose, and plump, even lips. She’d worn her favorite purple dress in the hopes that it would inspire something positive in the day. Now it was drenched and clinging to her body, clearly outlining her 36C breasts. Her nipples were hard from the chill of the wet fabric against her bare flesh and she had goose bumps above the fabric.

Resolutely she lifted her head and looked around. She saw that her groceries, and the contents of her purse, had been scattered across the floor. The bread and cheese were squashed and the milk was pouring into the carpet. The only thing that wasn’t
