About this audiobook

Love can be criminal.

Ava-Marie

I was always good at being bad, which is why I’m the last person you’d expect to save the world. Unfortunately, I wasn’t given a choice.

I’ve learned my prophecy has something to do with the Elves, an incredible magical people that went extinct a century ago. At a paranormal prison where evil runs free, there’s more to discover about the Elves than I ever expected. As my investigation continues, I receive messages from the gods, who seem certain I’m the magical world’s only hope for survival.

But I’d better watch my back. The Warden has something up his sleeve, and if I’m not careful, I just might get mixed up in the greatest supernatural discovery of all time...

Charlie

After surviving the Darke Games last semester, my performance didn’t go unnoticed. I’ve been recruited for an elite opportunity— a chance to compete in the underground fight club on campus. Participating will earn me privileges I can’t pass up, so if I want to run this prison, I’ll have to become the top fighter in the league.

Ava has asked me to learn more about the Elves and help her decipher her destiny. But what she doesn’t know is there’s more to the prophecy than she realizes. With every answer we uncover, the closer I come to causing the demise of the woman I love.

I’ll do whatever it takes to protect Ava. Even if it means saving her from herself.

Entertaining, but the audio skips a lot between chapters.

I love this series just like all the others they created. I can't wait for book 5. I hope it comes out soon. If you are not into yA, romance, spiritual, witch craft and fantasy don't read. Because that's what gets me when people that are not into things like this and leaves a bad review. I'm 27 and love this series. I love fantasy and magic!

    Far more frustrating than entertaining.

Petty, juvenile reluctant hero. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a main guy character than this dude. His thought processes are infuriating and his narrator is nearly as bad. His character voices are good but his bland narration style is so dull I have to speed it up to x2 to get through his parts.

The female lead is a great character. Not afraid to be who she is and isn’t wushu washy like the dude. The female narrator is much better than the guy but she’s so windy sounding.

I can’t tell you if better performers could save this series. I think authors are so focused on being woke and sharing in victim mentality that they miss the strengths that sick people develop.

I love the world, I am still not loving the dude narrator... the Ava Marie whine is too much. It's picking up at this point, and now I'll listen through the whine to get to the good stuff!
