About this audiobook
Fire and Water join the rebellion.
Sophia
We’ve found all four pieces of the prophecy, but it’s already too late. The prophecy has come true, and we’ve been forced to flee our home. The Elders are hunting us down, and there’s nowhere to run.
But we can’t just abandon our people. Returning to Kinpago proves more difficult than we thought, but this time, we’re coming back with an army. I’m ready to lay my life down for the tribe...
Until an unexpected discovery changes everything.
Liam
In the midst of war, Sophia and I are ready to take our vows. But getting married in the middle of genocide isn’t just dangerous, it’s deadly. My friends and I have allied ourselves with an underground group of elementals. To survive, we must unify the Hawkei into one tribe.
My people need someone to follow. I must take my place as the leader I was always meant to be, and make amends with the ancestors if we’re going to survive.
But Sophia isn’t the only one I need to protect. A new beginning is on its way, and once it arrives, nothing will ever be the same.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be slow-paced and repetitive, but it tackles important and fascinating topics. Some reviewers appreciate the way the book presents disabilities and trauma, while others feel that it focuses too much on virtue signaling. The new narrators are not as good as the original ones. The love story aspect is frustrating for some readers. Overall, the book has its flaws but still manages to captivate and stimulate interest.

Written better than the last but full of virtue signaling. Why can’t authors just write a fun story?
I miss the original narrators. Theses two gave it a good shot but not quite on the same level of the original.3 people found this helpful

Good story. This book is just too slow. This book just wants to explain everything twice and so slow. I had to speed up the voices to get through the book. Hopefully the last one is not as bad.2 people found this helpful

Sophia and Liam are so chaotic, lost and weak and useless ?. It’s so frustrating to listen thru. It’s more of the love story than a war as per the book title ?2 people found this helpful

I'm not really one the right reviews but I will say this of all the books that I've been listening to there's never been one that is captivated my attention like yours there are things in this world that I know are affecting people and that there are a lot of people that are affected in such ways that really traumatize them and are things that cause them hurdles that they really got to get over whether it's I'm very interesting and stimulating I l very interesting and they don't hold any punches they just read it like it is and for that I'm very interestedike the way they don't a disability whether it's a loss of a leg arm or whatever maybe it is hearing loss but you are presenting it in such a way that it's very very very fascinating and I really love listening to it I'm not one to sit down and read much I have a little bit of dyslexia even though 68 years old but I do enjoy listening to it and your readers are there1 person found this helpful
