About this audiobook

More than a year after leaving her unfaithful husband, Renee Mattison is ready to move on, but how can she move on from someone who refuses to let go?

Lorenzo Higgs is handsome and magnetic with a past that would send most women running, not to mention a little emotional baggage. Renee knows she should be afraid of Lorenzo, but the only thing that frightens her is the possibility of another broken heart.

The two share an electric attraction and a smoldering chemistry, but will they learn to truly believe in each other enough to build a lasting love?

Contains mature themes.

I loved this story the first time I listened to it, but after reading Zo's son, Jovanni's story, I had to come back and listen again. It made me appreciate Zo and Renee's characters even more. I love the subtle - and sometimes not so subtle - ways AH intertwines these stories while still maintaining individuality with each series. Such a brilliant and imaginative mind!!! One of my top 5 fave authors!

Book 2 was so good! I love a good romance with just the right amount if drama. Very believable and relatable characters. I’m so invested in learning how each if their stories turn out. Going to keep reading more from this universe.

Renee wasn't as interesting as Angie. And I wasn't convinced with Lorenzo and Renee's connection. But still love the author....this one maybe the first that I didn't like 100%.

This book is a fav of Alexandria House. The story of grown, experienced adults who find each other is just deep and rich. I love it.

I was more excited about Renee's story and it did not disappoint! I'm so glad Renee got rid of that ugly azz husband of hers and finally found her happily ever after! She and Zo were beyond adorable. Their courtship is everything all females want in a relationship. This story line was fun and easy with so many LOL moments that had me almost falling out my bed. Believe in Me was the ultimate black romance!

There was so much I didn't like about thIs one. Lorenzo was not all that likeable and their relationship required a lot more conversation and a little less sex. Also, the comments on 'Sofia Vergara ' felt micro aggressively racist. And the surprise at the end. What kind of miracle was that? There needed to be a medical procedure or something.

Second book was also a miss. This series is probably my least favorite of House's series so far, but I'm hoping the last instalment serves up some friends to lovers goodness so it can at least try to redeem itself!
