Romance is always a fantasy but this was fantasy on steroids. The poor hot single mum in dire straights saved by the hot rich celeb player (who is, of course, also a Player). with a heart of gold who falls wildly in love, reforms his ways and gives her everything she’s ever dreamed of. Some elements were sweet-how they start from platonic-ish closeness before they get sexy. I enjoyed it overall. But it was lacking in realism and tension, and the characters are one-dimensional and don’t make a huge amount of sense (an attractive, kind, articulate, relatively with it woman with talent and a loving and generous heart only has one friend because of childhood hang ups that she’s “weird”? Come. On.) so it’s hard to get very invested.
