Take a breath and still your mind,
Find the focus waiting for you this day.
The time has come to take a closer look
At the messages you’ve collected over time.
 
Not everything you believe has a place in your mind,
And there’s no need to let them do you harm.
 
PAUSE…
It might take some work to sort through them,
Since our beliefs tend to spread out and intertwine.
One flawed thought can affect so many others,
Causing problems you don’t even realize.
 
If you FEEL your way through them, however,
The outgrown ideas will stand out.
Anything that makes you feel small and unworthy
Doesn’t deserve any of your spirit’s precious space.
 
PAUSE…
Though it doesn’t really matter where you found it,
Sometimes it helps to try to follow the trail.
If you discover the source of the darkness,
You can purge that ugliness as well.
 
Breathe in and ask your soul to guide you.
Trust it to show you whatever needs your attention.
 
PAUSE…
When you concentrate on seeing the goodness in you,
You’ll find more and more light as you go.
For your authentic self is brilliant and luminous,
Always waiting to show you the way.
 
To fully let go, you must believe in that self.
You must listen when it asks for your help.
It knows what’s required for your greatest good,
And it knows what stands in your way.
 
PAUSE…
So let yourself begin the process.
Make ready to lighten your load.
Give yourself permission to sort and remove
All that seeks to diminish your shining soul.
