Take a breath and still your mind,
Find the focus waiting for you this day.
The act of letting go always comes with resistance,
So breathe in and strengthen your resolve.
 
There’s nothing to fear in this process, and you’re ready to make the leap.
If anxiety tries to get in your way, dismiss it and carry on.
 
PAUSE…
Just like the beliefs that trip you up,
Fear can wind its way into your mind.
It’ll try to convince you to hold onto those barriers,
Whispering that you’re safer if they remain in place.
 
But deep down, you know that’s an illusion,
A reaction to the uncertainty of change.
You’ve heard other whispers, the voice of your soul,
Telling you it’s time for transformation.
 
PAUSE…
As you prepare to break with these thoughts,
You need to get your mind on your side.
Allow it to imagine what might be possible,
When you let go of those limits and lies.
Remind it of its brilliant purpose and the reasons you’re ready to do more.
 
PAUSE…
Breathe deeply and picture the you to come,
The person you’d truly like to be.
Let your mind make a list of the benefits,
The joyful things you’ll do once you’re free.
 
You alone define the borders of your psyche.
You alone decide what gives you what you need.
When your mind and your spirit are united,
Those decisions feel easy and free.
 
PAUSE…
Today, you can make a friend of your mind.
You can show it what your heart is asking for.
Together, you all can take care of you,
And let go of what’s holding you back.
