A foundational concept of mindfulness is recognizing that you...your true self, your soul...are separate from your thoughts. That the things you think about are not you.

That, in fact, you are the observer of your thoughts.

Which is incredibly powerful.

Because knowing that allows you to choose to give energy to the thoughts that serve you well. Thoughts that bring you joy and help you create a life you love.

And also, you can choose to let the negative thoughts pass through you...the thoughts that don’t serve you well, so they don’t take root within you and bring you down.

So the intention of today’s meditation is to guide you through a visualization that will allow you to practice detaching from your thoughts. So you can connect deeply to yourself without their influence. And, so you can clearly see the power of choosing your thoughts wisely.

What thoughts did you put into your basket?

Make a list of affirmations that enhance your thoughts. Phrases you want to infuse into your consciousness. Like: I am beautiful. I attract the people and experiences that are joyful. It is easy for me to make money.

Did anything come up for you? Any insights? Emotions? Things you noticed about your thoughts or your body?
