Slow down your thoughts,
And settle your body.
Bring your awareness
To the present,
And connect in harmony.
PAUSE
Allow your muscles to soften,
To melt in relaxation,
While focusing on
the calm of your body,
And preparing for meditation.
PAUSE
As you find that calm,
Breathe into it deep,
And then breathe some more,
And hold this space of peace.
PAUSE
There are those days,
When you overdo,
When your calendar
Has so many things,
There’s no room for you.
PAUSE
And while you love all the activities
Planned out for each hour,
You realize half-way through
That your mood is starting to sour.
PAUSE
Now, pause. And breathe.
And begin listening.
Sometimes,
Your mind, body and spirit,
Can have too much of a good thing.
PAUSE
So, take another breath,
And gently blow,
Imagine opening space in that calendar,
To put you back in your flow.
PAUSE
To create space on the outside,
You must start from within,
Pushing too hard can make you,
Uncomfortable in your own skin.
PAUSE
So, outstretch your arms,
And expand your chest,
Make space inside for yourself,
So you can be your best.
PAUSE
So, listen closely to the whisper,
That says you’re now free,
To say “No” when it’s right,
To keep you balanced and happy.
PAUSE
And let that feeling of self-love,
Feed your mind, heart and soul,
Say it to yourself–
The most powerful word is “No.”
NAMASTE, BEAUTIFUL
