Find a comfortable spot
And settle in.

Allow yourself to breathe
And relax.

PAUSE

And as you’re relaxing,
Let go of all 
The thoughts of the day
And the “to-do’s”.

Just imagine them
Tumbling to the ground
Like a waterfall.

PAUSE

Now, take a minute
And acknowledge
That you’re alone.
Just you.

If you have kids, they’re gone.
If you have a spouse they’re gone.
If you have a roommate, they’re gone.

It’s just you.

PAUSE

Now, in your mind,
Look around where
You’re sitting or lying down.
And breathe.

Just breathe.

Breathe in the space.

PAUSE

The house, 
The room, 
This time–this very second–
Are all your alone time.

PAUSE

So, give yourself permission
To take up all the space.

Your mind,
Body,
Spirit,
Are everywhere.

You are everywhere.
Everywhere is you.

And it feels
Like a blessing.

PAUSE

And, as you allow yourself
To be in all this space,
Feel its power
Gently percolating
Within you.

PAUSE

Let yourself feel good
About owning
Your time,
Your presence,
Your space.

PAUSE 

Now, take a minute
And listen,
Listen to your heart.

What is it saying?

What do you really want?

Your voice is heard.

Your desires are acknowledged.

Your power is growing.

PAUSE

Pause, and continue to embrace
Taking up all the space,
Because being alone
Does not mean you’re small,
Unheard, or lost.

PAUSE

Being alone
Gives you power
To control your space.
To take up your space. 

So, breathe it in,
Hold it close,
And carry it with you.

Carry it with you. Always.
