Chris Barnard is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Strength Camp in St. Petersburg Florida and the founder of Overtime Athletes, a multimedia online platform where he helps athletes reach their full athletic potential. Chris works with professional and amateur athletes alike and is currently in the process of training some of his guys for the upcoming NFL combine. On today’s show Chris discusses his coaching methodology and what he looks for when helping improve weaknesses. With all the crazy workouts we see today across social media, we talk about the importance of keeping your workout and approach simple when working towards actual athletic goals. Chris dives into what athletes should actually be focused on during a workout to be efficient with their time and energy and gives an overview of Triphasic Training, the training methodology that he implements into his own workout programs to help his athletes break through plateaus and maximize their strength and speed.
