Our kids all do certain things that can be triggering for us. In frustration, we can wonder what we’re doing wrong when our kids have moments of disobedience, defiance, and disrespect. In today’s episode, I’m here to offer you another perspective. While it’s certainly not the easy route, our kid’s most difficult behaviors may actually be a good thing. I explain 1) why our kids’ pushing back is beneficial for their emotional growth and development and 2) when we do the inner work to start healing our triggers, we can hold beautiful space for our children as they practice new skills (like respectfully disagreeing) in a safe environment.
