Description

It all came down to the very last second. But even recovering a Florida State fumble at the goal line, a 99-yard drive in less than two minutes, and a TD pass in the final moments of the game wasn't enough to come back from three abysmal quarters of football as the LSU Tigers drop their season opener to the Florida State Seminoles 24-23 in New Orleans.
LSU started their season opener against Florida State looking sloppy, lethargic, and unprepared. Brian Kelly was hired as LSU's head football coach to right the wrongs of the past head coaches; to make the team clean, energized, and calculated. Brian Kelly did not deliver in his debut as head football coach of the LSU Tigers. Now the question remains: can he turn it around?
On today's edition of Locked On LSU, Caroline Fenton breaks down the storylines on offense, defense, and special teams. What went right and what went really, really, REALLY wrong? Is this LSU offense only as good as the offensive line? Should Brian Kelly, Mike Denbrock, and the rest of the coaching staff reevaluate their decision at quarterback? Plus, the defense showed some good but also showed a good bit of bad. Which is the real truth about the Tigers' defense?
